With most programs, context (right-click) menus and other menus have a shadow under them to indicate that they're separate from the rest of the program. This makes them easy to read. In LibreOffice, however, menus don't have shadows, and the top menu (file/edit/view, etc) is still in the program window itself, instead of in the global menu. How can I fix these problems?
I have a program for Windows that I'd like to get running under Wine. "ChairGun Pro". It is a ballistics program for air rifles and .22's, to calculate trajectories, etc.

It requires Java, and I was able to get the program running, sort of, by installing the Windows version of Java under Wine.
is there a program for Linux and/or Ubuntu which, when I right-click and get the contextual menu, will place the menu selections of whatever program is active in the contextual menu? In other words, I want to access the program's menu from the contextual menu.
The first program I want to install on UStudio is a program called TablEdit, a music notation program that allows one to notate in standard notation and tablature.
I expected it would run in UStudio but when I go to the TablEdit page regarding Linux it says:
Quote:
TablEdit on Linux, it works!
I'm able to locate stuff with the dash home then drag it down to the launcher bar on the left of the desktop, but what if the application installed via Wine isn't found via the dash search? I've right clicked on the application in the .wine directory and found no options to create a launcher either.
According to what I've found elsewhere, the gnome-menus package is supposed to contain a program called gmenu-simple-editor. But, that program is not installed by the gnome-menus-3.4.2-1.fc17 I have installed.
Does gmenu-simple-editor exists for Fedora's Gnome3?
I have also seen that alacarte is no longer appropriate for maintaining Gnome3 menus.
Been slowly tweaking my UI. But having the darnedest time trying to get the Global menu's drop down menus to be transparent. I am using the Compiz Settings UI and got my dialogs and other programs to be transparent. But for the life of me I cant get the drop down menus to work anymore. I have tried type=Menu menu dropdownmenu DropDownMenu popupmenu and even GlobalMenu and globalmenu.
The script does create an icon in dash home, but does launch the program.
Any ideas guys ?

For testing purposes, I want to execute an .exe file on my Debian machine. The program has no entry in winehq's appdb.
