Say cell A1 has the formula A2 + A3

and B1 has the formula B2 + B2

and C1 has the formula A1 + B1

I need an easy and quick way to create the formula for C1 in the flattened state..

i.e.
(A2 + A3) + (B1 + B2)

Although the above example is trivial, I am trying to simplify a formula that refers to around 40 cells (and around 70 calls through a third party plugin).

Any help appreciated!

Hi All;

I try to create a excel like table with headers and some fields containing values, other long and complex mathematic formulas.

HELP!. I have an Excel Workbook with multiple sheets. I am trying to create a consolidated sales report pulling data from each individual monthly sales spreadsheet. Some of the items have more than one price based on quantity. For example, Item A is $30 for 1-11 and $28 for 12+. Problem is they have the same item number.

Sorry in advance if I don't explain this very well, definite newbie here when it comes to spreadsheets.

I have a Text only spreadsheet with 4 columns, first 3 are Student's Last name, First name, and Class. 4th column will be concatenate of the other columns.

This is probably easy to people who know more about spreadsheets.
Ideally I would like an answer that works on excel, libre office and open office.
I have a spreadsheet looking at how many birds there are in my garden at certain dates.
At the bottom I have this formula =MAX(K2:K118) which shows the largest number.

In Excel I have a number of minutes that I need to convert in to days, hours and minutes, but I cannot figure out how to get the minutes.

In Excel 2013 or 2010, if you put this value in column B1:

2014022701000400

And then this formula in column C1:

=COUNTIF(B1,"2014022701000409")

The formula will evaluate to 1. But the numbers are different: the one in the formula ends with a 9, the one in the cell ends with a zero.

Why does countif match a value it shouldn't? Is there a workaround available?

Would anyone want to help me solve a problem in a spreadsheet?

In my spreadsheet, there are missing numbers. Reading the instructions on http://www.extendoffice.com/document...-sequence.html , I applied the IF formula from beginning to end in column B; it worked as expected, so the cells display MISSING whenever a sequence was missing.

I have two columns of numbers, column A and column B. Column A is where a numbered tag is entered when it leaves and Column B is where the numbered tag is entered when it returns. There are spaces in both of these columns.
