I several HTML files that contain a tag for a name that I want to use for the actual file name.
I'm looking to bulk rename files in the current directory only and remove certain strings from the end of file names.
Sample:
foo-bar-(ab-4529111094).txt
foo-bar-foo-bar-(ab-189534).txt
foo-bar-foo-bar-bar-(ab-24937932201).txt
the output should look like this:
foo-bar.txt
foo-bar-foo-bar.txt
foo-bar-foo-bar-bar.txt
I want to remove the string -(ab-2492201) at the end of each file name
know
I have a malware on my server.
So I've figured out how to find all that malicious files
grep -r --include*.php "Some String from files" .
That seems work fine!
but how to delete them?
I've tried using xargs
grep -r --include=*.php "FilesMan" .

Hi,
I have used this
Code:
find .
I am using Lubuntu 11.10. When I call the context menu (right click) many programs appear to open some file.
For example, for .tex files, besides TeXstudio and Leafpad, Gnumeric (what a strange option!) and text editor also appear.
So, I'd like to remove those bad options.
