I recently installed Korean fonts as well as ibus/ibus-hangul so that I can type Korean. I noticed that in Firefox the Korean font looks relatively normal and appropriate... but in Chromium the font is hideous. In Libreoffice the default Korean font is droid sans (fallback) and everytime I choose a different korean font it will not switch to the one I choose... instead keeping the default active.
Looking for some assistance on font configuration with Asian fonts, specifically, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. I have installed 1 or 2 TTF fonts for each respective language. However, for instance, Chinese is not displaying with the same font across.
One of my Korean nephews wanted to type in Korean. He installed Korean on the entire OS instead and even though I know how to change languages, it just isn't working for me from the UI. When I change the language it doesn't give me a button to apply the change.
Can anyone suggest an alternate method?
I wanted the system language to be in Korean. When I went to Language Support and loaded korean, I had got the next message:

I'm trying to change the language for a standard user account.
With the administrator account, I installed a new language by going to system settings > language support > install / remove languages. Then I logged in to the standard account, and moved the new language to the top by dragging it with the mouse. And then I reseted the machine and logged back in. But nothing changed.
