I installed ubuntu 12.04 and noticed that I can access all my windows (XP) files from ubuntu.
That's great but on the other hand wtf?
What's the point having an administration account in windows xp if all you need is just an ubuntu live cd and "voila"!
There's a few folders I need to run a script on. I have full access to the entire directory and all subdirectories, and when I run the script I get a lot of UnauthorizedAccessException. Most files I can access as necessary.
When I go to any of the specified files, "effective permissions" shows that I should have full access.
Sometimes, I need to access my files on my Desktop in Ubuntu (/home/abhimanyu). Although I can access my Windows files from the Ubuntu, I don't seem to be able to access my Ubuntu files when I run Windows.
So how do I access my files on Desktop in Ubuntu via Windows?
I don't know if it is possible to access the files in ubuntu while in windows.
The local disk of my ubuntu is not visible in MyComputer. I hope someone can help me with my problem because it's a big waste of time rebooting my pc just to access my files in ubuntu.
