how to built a gtk develop Environment for C programe

jCDWriter is a free and open source application for Linux that was built with Java technology. This software is used for CD/DVD burning software with very simple layout and interface. You can record CD, burn DVD using this software in Linux. Because it was built using Java, the jCDWriter can run in multiple operating system.

I have a slower computer that I would like to use the Lubuntu desktop environment with. However, I do not want to install any of the software that is not related to the desktop environment. I am talking about programs like Abiword and Lubuntu Software Center.

So I'm still working on making the switch. I'm now using the latest Ubuntu with Unity.

I'd like to install this old PHP-IDE that I use on Windows. Call me old fashioned, but this program works the way I like to work so I'd like to take it along with me into Linux land as well.

The program we are talking about is Zend Development Environment 5.2.0 .

well I am using Linux some years, but since I built a LFS, I feel noobish again. Now with the help of BLFS I am setting up my environment and somewhere I incidentally read, that not every variable is inherited by a child Bash shell.

The final target of this post is to demonstrate how flexible is Ubuntu Karmic Koala Server environment. Build Xen 4.0-rc8 and the most recent stable pvops kernel 2.6.32.10 ( with DRM support).

Last night I tried to install Ubuntu 12.04 from a USB (for which I had to use Bootice on Windows XP to install PLoP Boot Manager on the MDR, since I was unable to boot from USB and have no CD Rom). It was all going fine, BUT the part when all the programs are installed failed.

I've been working with hiphop on fresh centos-6.3 with gcc-4.6.2 and followed the following guide for hiphop compilation https://github.com/facebook/hiphop-php/wiki/Building-and-installing-HHVM... . However compilation fails on 90% and produces errors, few of them are given below, can someone assist me on it?

I managed to install Fedora 11 on a Dell optiplex 260. On the first boot - I can't launch the terminal in the graphical environment. On clicking system tools->terminal it brings up a window with title Starting terminal. It then disappears in a few seconds. Everything else works. I can get to a terminal using Ctrl-alt-f2. But cannot start the terminal within graphical environment.

I have built an embedded linux environment for AMD Geode target. The kernel, cross toolchain and root file system were built using buildroot and the root file system resides on my host machine and is mounted over NFS. To test the environment I cross compiled a very basic ncurses application which simply changes the background colour of some text and moves it around the console.
