I know there are many different ways to open specific dat file if you know the type of dat. I would like to open and edit the dat files which are database here. http://code.google.com/p/android-traditional-chinese-ime/source/browse/#... Which software can open this?

Bit of a Newby here. I have an RDS farm ( 3 x Server 2008 r2) in testing and on a remote site Thin pc ( cut down windows 7) running Remoteapp . The usual office etc. . Now if you go file open and browse to a network folder and say a word file all is rosy and is very quick and Swift.

This question is from a supernewby -- not with computing, just with Ubuntu, which I installed today.

My only problem -- so far -- is trying to open folders under "Browse Network" in the file manager. At least I guess it's the file manager, though nowhere do you find those words.

I have a problem with Dolphin showing too much information when browsing.

Browse, but don't open, to a file or folder with text or photos. Leave the cursor on the name of the file or folder.

A popup window appears, which contains the text or photos. This is what I don't like.

Konqueror from KDE3 didn't do this.
