I useset gfxmode="1366x768x32;1366x768x24;1024x768x32;1024x768x24;auto"I'm not sure this is quite right. I think that the first mode (which is really correct) isn't supported and it is actually falling back to one of the 1024x768 modes. But it does improve things quite a lot. So you might see if adding some different possibilities helps at all.
