I am currently planning to launch as development forum (similar to XDA and RootzWiki), however the development projects will be organized and searchable. Do you think there is room for another development site, say for example it targeted devices currently not on XDA? What features would you request.
I'm a new user to the android world and absolutely love it. However, I have this machine that I know is capable of a lot...but I'm not all that techie...Was wondering if anyone can help me out with this. I would like to fully experience this phone and play around with it. The phone I have is the Samsung Galaxy Note II.
I am an Embedded developer with vastnexperience in Firmware development in C programming (for microcontrollers), pcb designing, corel draw/photoshop (intermediate level) . Now I am looking to stretch my self a lil further by trying my hands on Android Programming. I have no prior experience in Software development.
I am not a big fan of the current separation of Android Development vs Original Android Development. In my opinion we are doing a disservice to the community by splitting the development forums. As a developer, I am not concerned with the status of my own mods or roms.
I've had experience developing games in Flash (AS3) but now I'm wanting to make a mobile game. So I'm learning Android development (or trying). I'm following the official Android development training tutorials but not really understanding what I'm doing enough. I've been reading about the different components (activities, services, etc.) but I'm struggling to get my head around them.
I am interested in mobile development for the Android. I was curious, what are some open source projects that I could add to a portfolio if I am interested in Android development? Something to work on in my spare time?
