I am using the latest Swype Beta on MeanBean 1.1 and it works great but i am having trouble with it on landscape mode. When i start in vertical mode and rotate to landscape the keyoard fits with the menu shortcut (the 3 dot link) but if i respond to a textfirst in lanscape the 3 dot menu shortcut is covering most of the P key part of the L key and half of the enter key.
Hi guys, i got this used I9003 yesterday and pretty much everything works as expected. its running 2.2.1 (yes, i need to update it), speed is ok... everything but this weird screen malfunction.
My app has three views in portrait mode, a TextSwitcher, a custom view and a custom keyboard.
In the landscape mode I need to remove the TextSwitcher and add a ListView in the right side.
I am new to android , I can define two layouts namely xxx and xxx-land, my problem is how to implement two branch of code, one for controling landscape and one for portrait.
I am currently using two monitors with one in landscape mode and the other in portrait mode. Video card is Nvidia Geforce 9600 GT with nvidia's propriety driver.
I was able to force the issue in 11.10 by assigning a separate X screen for each monitor and rotating the screen assigned to the portrait monitor.
I have a small problem with my Android app.
Within my control XML i have
<autoOrients>false</autoOrients>
<aspectRatio>landscape</aspectRatio>
and this works also on the first start of the application. The app starts in landscape mode and everything works perfectly.
Then, i click the home button (or the phone goes to standbye mode).
I'm using GlSurfaceView to draw my game.
How can I fix the navigation bar (back, home, recent) to the position it would have in portrait mode.
I only use landscape mode but want to use the maximum available screen height.
An example would be the new gallery app screenshots in the ICS hightlights:

I want to start by saying I do like Google Now and its Now cards idea in JB.
But I am annoyed with the feature that trigger Google Now by swiping from the soft keys. It makes some apps' edge enabling features useless.
For instance, I always do that edge-to-edge swipe to switch tabs in Chrome. But when you're in landscape mode, one of that edge is shared with the soft keys.
Hey guys! Was just wondering if I was the only one with the same problem?
First rom I installed with this new phone was AOKP jb build-1.
Was messed, because the auto-rotate was inversed.
