I've rooted and flashed about a dozen Androids that I've owned just in the last year, so please understand that I'm not a complete newbie.
Having said that, I'm working on a US Verizon Xoom, and EOS Stingray ROM dated 2012-08-08 worked pretty well but I decided to try some other with more settings to tweak.
I tried one which I can't remember, random crashes so I ditched it.
Tried CM10, and
Hello everybody.
I was using the first "official" JB leak (the Polish one, I don't remember which one it was). I've being used it for a while, with no problems.
Yesterday, I saw that Faryabb had posted a new version of the GAPPs.
I have a rooted, stock GS3. Waited a few hours for others to update to 4.1.2 and someone said they used Voodoo Rootkeeper to temp unroot, updated, and everything was fine. I did this also, and my phone updated and rebooted.
I was running CM10 stable at first. so i was on google and happen to see 4.2.2 stable cm10.1 for the t989. I just had to flash it. i spent 3 hours reading and watching videos on how o do it correctly. First i did darkside wipe, then i flashed another kernal ( the one for the att version i think) and installed the t989 rom and the gapps.
Just bought the S3 today, Verizon reps did the forced update before handing me the phone

I seem to have two separate programs managing my e-mail. I am using ONE gmail address. When I get ONE incoming email, I get TWO notifications with different audible alerts. Seems as tho the phone is managing e-mail, and gmail is managing e-mail. In my status bar I get two notifications. One black "M" and one red "M".
I was trying to install a new rom on my verizon s3 and somewhere i messed up! I now have a message on my phone that comes up saying "system software not authorized by verizon.....take to store". I cant even boot to recovery by holding up, home and power.
I can't seem to get gmail to run from cm10. Every time I attempt to launch it, it pulls up a screen that looks like its trying to run, and then just returns to the launcher. No error or anything, just simply won't run. I downloaded it from 1mobile app store.
Is this a known issue? Or am I doing something wrong?
BTW Google + does the same thing.
While installing a new nightly on my phone "cm10.1" I had the wrong gapps package. So I downloaded a new one, but come to find out it was also the wrong one. So when I rebooted my phone I kept getting a error message saying that gapps was not working. I couldn't see my background only thing I could do is access my settings through the notification bar.
