So my S4 that I bought a week ago (parallel imported) has these wierd, ugly non standard icons (e.g. the messaging icon, camera icon, contacts, phone, video, music and downloads icons etc all look different to how theyr supposed to). I cant figure out why although I suspect it might be due to the bloatware that the phone came with.
So I just got myself a Galaxy SIII and noticed that my carrier took the liberty to replace the default android icons for Phone, Messaging, Camera, Settings, etc. (all of the most common features) with their tasteless, cheap looking icons.
For last week I've been googling around how to get rid of ugly icon background and frames on my new Droid device.
The trouble is that all app icons at the app screen and at desktop screen has that really ugly background color, that seems to be randomly choosed and a transparent frame (see the attached picture). You can see that on Opera, Skype and Navitel icons.
I have installed an icon theme in Lubuntu. Icons have changed but not every icon. Folder icons are the same but there are many more icons for music folder, video folder etc. Opera has new icon, but they didn't change.
What should I do to change all the icons from the new icon theme?
