http://crunchbanglinux.org – I was trying to install Windows using a dvd-rw and the disk wouldn't show up in grub, so I stupidly decided to remove grub using the following commands: dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdX bs=512 count=1to remove partition table, anddd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdX bs=446 count=1to remove MBR.Now when I try to boot it, it just says "No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key". I have tried to boot using a USB and a DVD-RW and it still says "no bootable device". I also tried booting DBAN but it could not be detected. Have I bricked the laptop beyond fixing?
