Hey friends,
Whenever i create a adhoc Wifi network using my laptop in order to connect my Galaxy Fit to it through Wifi,...
I compiled and built PHP on Ubuntu and CentOS, but failed(when running ./configure).
It said like this: "
There is something wrong.
I'm using Ubontu 11.04.....
I'm a new user of Ubontu Operating system...
I'm using netbook "DOEL Basic model". Problem is i enable the internet. I'm using Boardband. I'm also edit the Mac address, Config IP address manually & save it. But it did n't work. It shows WAN disconected. But in WINDOWS XP my net is running. I can't Understand anything. I want to stay with ubontu.
I have HP DL360p Gen8 646902-xx1
I'm trying to optimize my config for low latency trading.
Should I enable "Intel NIC DMA Channels"? Will that help/affect my system?
From HP doc:
Added a new ROM Based Setup Utility (RBSU) Advanced Performance Option menu that allows the user
to enable Intel NIC DMA Channels (IOAT). This option is disabled by default.
I'm using an EVDO usb Modem. It works perfectly fine for few times. But now on wards when ever I try to connect it shows not enabled in status . I tried to enable it by ticking "Enable Mobile Broadband" but still it shows not enabled but that option gets a checked(tick) mark. And when ever I restart my system "Enable Mobile Broadband" option autamatically unchecked. Any help please
When i try to edit or assign the IP using this command
system-config-network-tui &
Terminal opens the console which is uncontrollable just like this
Please note This happens on Centos and Redhat
Hello when I reopen the lid of the laptop the wired network will fail.
The only chance to re enable it, is to run "rmod alx&&modprobe alx"
How can I do this automatic?
I have play with an config file at /etc/pm/config.d/modules with the contains:
SUSPEND_MODULES="alx"
but it will not work.
Any ideas?
Thanks

I wanted to clean up my tmp directory. So I went to the /tmp directory and did sudo rm -r * in /tmp. But now I get error messages when I open an application.
For instance, when I try to open nautilus I get:
Code:
(nautilus:22457): Eel-WARNING **: GConf error:
