http://askubuntu.com – I've never used Ubuntu before. Just heard from some friends. "IT'S GREAT!!!", they used to say. So i decided to try it. I downloaded WUBI, and ran it but 'twas takin' too much time. So I decided to download the .ISO Image file separately. It couldn't download more after 150 mB, and got interrupted (and cancelled) itself. I just went to Ubuntu's Website, and further went to Ask Ubuntu, and searched for my question. After having found a related one, which told "try the torrent way" So I downloaded it through the torrent. And after that when I opened the .rar file, there wasn't any .ISO ima (HowTos)

After reading some online instructions for installing Ubuntu into Oracle's Virtual Box, I went to the Ubuntu website and tried to download the Ubuntu 12.10 desktop 386 iso bit torrent using the opera web browser (built-in bit torrent downloader).

What I got was about 30 little kilobytes that downloaded immediately, but it doesn't seem to do or start anything when I try to run it or open it.

Actually, the new version of Slackware Linux 13.1 already released. But, here I just want to share the download link for the Sackware Linux 13.0. This is a torrent file, so you will need a torrent client to download this Slackware Linux 13.0.

I hate to make a blatant request for a configuration file, but I'm really not sure how to go about this, and I can't seem to find good documentation on rtorrent.

I was just download the new version of Ubuntu Lucid Lynx 10.04 LTS. Now I want to try this OS on my Windows 7 host using VirtualBox 3.12. The Ubuntu 10.04 installation is little bit different with previous version, but its much easier to me.

I am running Windows 8 x64 Enterprise, and have downloaded the Ubuntu Studio 12.10 x64 ISO. I place wubi.exe and the ISO in the same folder, and run it as administrator. But Wubi still attempts to download the stock 12.10 ISO. The Studio ISO also has a wubi.exe on it, but even that one tries to download the stock image. Is there a way to get this to work? Or does wubi support only stock Ubuntu?

One of the ways you can help users install Fedora 12 is to first help them get the iso's. Tonight, when I looked for a mirror to download from I realized that the direct download was going to be slow, so I looked at the torrents. It actually took me less time to download from a torrent then it would have if I downloaded directly from a mirror.

I use Transmission to download torrent file. So i need to run a shell script that will shut down the system when that torrent can not search any peer or the download is stopped. can you please help me to make the shell program.
