http://crunchbang.org – And now the funniest thing, which I have not noticed up to now, as I work with my files in midnight commander rather than in a grapical file manager. When you open one - be it Thunar or PCManFM - the Audio Disk is quietly shown in the side pane, and the tracks in the main window - with the .wav extension. You simply click and play them with the system's default player. Naturally, file managers should have better understanding of the current gvfs tricks than audioplayers, especially not very recent ones. Concerning mplayer, I strongly suspect that it is hard encoded to look for the cdda:// (HowTos)
