http://crunchbanglinux.org – I would like to mount a 1.4GB iso image into my RAM, I have 4GB total and #! leaves me plenty of unused memory. I have found this guide:http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/howto-crea … ilesystem/But the steps are not explained so I am not sure how to adapt it to my situation. For example step one involves: mkfs -q /dev/ram1 8192What is the -q option for?Should I already have /dev/ram1 present or does this command create it?Could someone please explain the steps I should take, or link me to a more relevant guide? Also, if I use mkfs to create a ramdisk will it be lost on reboot or will I need to (HowTos)
