I just installed a Windows 2008 Standard R2 server with RDS and 10 licenses.
I have just been given access to a new Windows Web Server 2008 R2 which has SQL Server 2008 R2 installed on it.
I have a server running Windows Server 2008 R2 on a remote DC and another server running CentOS 6.2 (in another remote DC) which has a Samba configured too.
From my local machine I can access the samba share with the right permissions without problems.
I have installed OpenSSH on my windows 2008 server by following the user guide here . Now I have some files on windows network share with UNC path as
\\corp\test\testdata
I want map this file system on network share to my windows 2008 server which is configred with SFTP so that I can access these files from my Java Program by doing SFTP to windows 2008 server. How can I do that?
I am running a virtual setup with vSphere, with two virtual machines, one running CentOS 6 and the other running Windows server 2008
The idea is to use LDAP to connect from the CentOS (as a client) to the Windows Server 2008 (as a server), and trying to access Active Directory from there.
There is a virtual switch between these two virtual machines, and both are running on the same subnet.
Summary: how do I create an RDC connection from a Windows 2008 server to another server?
Our client will only allow us to connect to their server via a static IP address (which is fair enough), but unfortunately as we're a very small company we don't have one in the office.
As a work around, we had the connection working through our old Windows 2003 server (dynamic-cloud from 1and1). ..
I recently put together a PowerShell Script on a server running Windows Server 2008 R2 that created a dated directory then started Windows Server Backup to make a system state backup.
I have RRAS running (Windows 2008 R2) on my server to provide PPTP VPN connection in order to share the server Internet with users.
Users are able to connect to the server and I can see them on Remote Access Client List (RRAS), but when they connect, status is NOT a NAP-Capable and they are unable to connect to the internet.
I don't need NAP and anything like that at all.
Am I supposed to install Microsoft Windows Server 2008 x64 printer drivers on my 2008 32-bit server to support Windows 7 x64 clients while supporting Windows XP 32-bit clients?
I have a Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Standard (not R2) 32-bit server with the Print Services role. I have mostly 32-bit XP clients that are able to print to the server's shared printers.
