If you have been using computers for a while now say around 40 years or more then you must have probably started you first lessons in computing on the Commodore 64 computer. Many modern day children and engineers won’t probably know what the Commodore 64 is.
I have a Macbook, updated to Lion, 2 GHz Intel Core Duo processor, 4 gigs ram, and a NVIDIA GeForce 9 series graphics card.
For a while now I have been messing with how to get Skyrim to work on my computer. I would just install it onto a Windows computer then transfer the files into a wrapper but I don't have a windows computer.
I have a wireless network configured at home. I have a Windows XP laptop and a Ubuntu 12.04.1 laptop. I have shared a folder on both computers. I am able to read/write files from my Windows computer to my Ubuntu computer.
have'm building a computer within the next few weeks, and I'm finishing up the last few things. I want to have Linux and Windows available. I originally was going to go with only Ubuntu, but then I realized it would be easier to run games and stuff from Windows. I bought a 90GB SSD for a boot drive, this is big enough for windows, but it isn't preferred.
Howdy everyone, Jimmy B here trying to sell my computer. Basically I have two computers at home right now. I have been looking into building my own mini pc. I don't want anything drastic. I have been looking into the usb mini computers that run Android and they seem like a great choice, but I have started using Ubuntu and I really like it. It seems to be lightweight and fast.
Question by Sock Monkey: Should I buy a laptop with XP on it for all my 95, 98 and XP games?
Well I have a netbook, so I can't play games on windows either, no problem. But I'm getting a new desktop PC with better hadware and it will be able to run the most popular games and I want to have Windows on it to play games and software not compatible with ubuntu. I also want to have Ubuntu, as my primary OS, so I will set a dual boot.
Hello,
I have a long story I'd like to tell which may offer some clues as to why I'm having these problems.
I recently bought a new computer from System76. They come pre-installed with Ubuntu. I've been running Ubuntu for 3 years now and don't have any need for Windows.
When the computer arrived Ubuntu started up no problem.
