I have an irritating issue with my mouse & keyboard that I'd like some help troubleshooting. The functions normally associated with left-clicking my mouse seem to cycle back and forth between the left mouse button and a particular button on my keyboard. When the keyboard button is active, the left mouse button does nothing and vice-versa.
I have a onn wireless keyboard and mouse (On same dongle) I just bought form Walmart. Worked fine when I first used it. But now only the mouse works. I put brand new batteries in the keyboard but it didn't work. Then I tried on my windows 7 Ultimate partition and again only the mouse worked.
Hi, I just installed ubuntu 11.10 alongside with windows 7, I have the both operativesystems on two different partitions. But when I start up ubuntu my ordinary mouse and keyboard doesnt work, it's a razer naga mouse and a Microsoft sidewinder keyboard. If I unplug those and plugin an old mouse and keyboard I can log in to then unplug those and use my primary instead.
The thread http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=282147, which I don't know how to answer, brings up the question of how "the" keyboard and "the" mouse are determined when a system has more than one keyboard and mouse attached to it.
i am updating my ubuntu 10.04 desktop to 12.04, and my bluetooth
keyboard/mouse have gotten disconnected during the process somewhere.
the upgrade is paused right now while it is waiting for me to continue
through a dialog box asking to replace a configuration file. i tried
plugging a USB mouse and keyboard in but they aren't letting me move the
mouse or type either.
I attached a USB keyboard to my laptop today. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit. The keyboard isn't working. I looked in Control Panel/Hardware and Sound/Devices and Printers, and it turns out Windows thinks the USB keyboard is a USB mouse!
I'm not sure how to convince Windows the keyboard is actually a keyboard.
Had to physically move a PC to a new location within same office.
Properly/cleanly shut down PC. Removed cables including USB keyboard and USB mouse.
Plugged cables back in including same keyboard and mouse. Powered on. Keyboard not working at grub menu initially.
