Ok, so here is the deal. I have no experience in programming, I am basically starting from scratch. I don't know any language whatsoever, and am hungry to learn programming.The main reason for this, is because i have a passion for mobile development, and want to learn to build android apps, software,etc, and hopefully become proficient.
I am a medical doctor by proffession and have absolutely no programming knowledge. I have always wanted to learn to program apps and have a lot of ideas for some. I was wondering if anyone knows a good web resource to learn how to program android applications. How long should it take me to learn the language and be able to develop intermediate applications?

Recently, Apple has been rejecting some of our apps, mainly because they were deemed too similar to Siri.
