hdhomerun doesn't connect on restart when connected direcly to the lan port

http://ubuntuforums.org – I know this was supposed to be fixed back in 2009 but it's not for me. Here's the situation. I have a new hdhomerun connected directly to the lan port on an hp laptop. The laptops wifi is used to connect to the internet. The only way I could get the hdhomerun config to see the tuners was to set the lan to local only. Otherwise ubuntu keep trying to connect to the internet through the eth0 port. My wifi connection isn't fast enough and at the time I can't set up a wired connect so the direct connect is my only choice. So I have two lan connections the hdhomerun at eth0 and the wifi at et (Hardware)

I have a HdHomeRun Dual, and am having firewall issues between it and Fedora 18. When I run hdhomerun_config discover with iptables enabled with it's default settings from a fresh F18 installation, it says no device found. but if I restart iptables, which clears everything and sets everything to open hdhomerun_config discover is able to find the HdHomeRun Dual with no problem.

I am trying Ubuntu on a trial basis to see if I think I could use it in place of Windows. One of the things I can do in Windows is connect my XP laptop thru a wireless access point which is connected by ethernet cable to my desktop, which is set to share its internet connection. The desktop connects to the internet by dialup.

I have a computer that is connected to the internet via wifi. I then have a ethernet cable coming out from my wifi computer into another computer which has no wifi or place to plug into ethernet.

I have shared the wifi connection to the LAN port, and the computer successfully gets internet. But, on that computer I have a FTP server that I want the wifi network to be able to connect to.

The internet indicates that after the 12.04 upgrade, there is a bug involving the constant dropping of wifi signal by network manager. I am having this problem as well, where perhaps once an hour, the wifi suddenly drops off, and network manager searches again for the wifi connection.

Hi I have ubuntu 10.10 installed on asus u50vg. I have router asus wl500gp and wl500w. My wl500gp is connected with ISP (to WAN). One Port of this router is connected to thw WAN port of router wl500w.If I wanna connect my laptop to wl500w.I can't connect to the roiter wl500w. There is no connection via cabel or wifi. but with the windows I cann connect to this router.

Hi everyone, I saw a few other posts with this problem, but none of the solutions have worked out for me. Bascially I tried to connect to the internet using a cable modem connected to the computer with an ethernet cord. Auto eth0 attempts to connect and the icon spins for half a minute. Then it says that the wired connection was disconnected.

I've installed ubuntu 10.10 dual booting with win 7. My internet connection is Direct DSL wired line to my modem. I dont have any wireless connections.

I even got connected using live CD of Ubuntu and after my installation too I got connected for the first time, very well without any problems.

i just sign up here coz my s2 wont connect to wifi..sure my wifi router has no problem coz i can connect my laptop to it..just woke up with no wifi on phone tried to connect its says its connected but no connection signal on the upper level screen..tried restarting it and turn my phone on and off many times..it connected and after 10 minutes its gone again..and i am getting so annoyed with it..

I have a strange situation where I can't get a lock on channels when I try live tv, but if I use the channel guide to set a recording, the show records and plays back just fine.

I've even set 2 shows to record at the same time using the HDHomeRun and they record fine.
