Hi,
I am trying to find out following: I would like to find out if I can use Galaxy Tab 10.1 to play video on my HDTV (Full HD via HDMI adapter). However almost all the apps that I have seen seem to produce dropped frames or problems with sync with audio/video during playback for number of mkv/mp4/avi media files.
Greetings--
I've been having a problem with playing some videos from my DSLR. There's a white line at the bottom of the video. (Not really white: it's all different colors, but it mostly looks white.) See the attached screenshot.
The strange thing is that it doesn't happen with all the videos from that camera.
My apt gets noise from outside. I would like to generate a white noise audio file and play it to block outside noise. I would prefer something like the low frequency hum of a big fan. How can I generate this file in using linux tools?
Sarim studios has just released their newest application, White noise-Soothing Sounds
Have you ever had a bad night of sleep? Was your room too quiet? These sounds make you fall asleep relaxed, have a great nights sleep, and wake up relaxed. This app is great for a parent to play to their kids if there having a hard nights sleep.

I've recently started using my Evo as a mp3 player on plane rides and just recently noticed a huge amount of white noise coming through. It's especially noticeable in quiet and music with frequent rests. I have this problem on Mobster's Rom, PACMAN, and even with the AC!D audio mod. Does anyone have any tips on reducing/eliminating this noise? Do others have this same problem?
Thanks.
I am using 2.3.5 official update.
720p videos are working fine with MX player with hardware decoding on.
But 1080p videos are not working with hardware decoding. It plays with a lot of lag with software decoding in MX player.
I am wondering if I overclock the device will it play 1080p videos with software decoding.
Is there any other way I can play 1080p videos on this device.
I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, and while using Ubuntu (unity 3d) full screen video playback is very choppy. This includes, VLC, movie player, and to a lesser extent youtube videos. However, not all video playback is choppy: smaller-sized or windowed videos run smoothly.
I'm trying to play 1080p video using MXPlayer, and keep having lag in them. I'm running the latest Alien Kernel and my own ROM. I notice I can't use the HW or HW+ decoders, only SW for these videos. I read on the app's website that this can sometimes be caused by a "customization" of the media components of the phone by the manufacturer.
