What's possible with non-K Haswell i7s? Will motherboard multi-core turbo allow all cores to run at max turbo assuming enough thermal headroom? I also thought there was no bclk OC'ing on haswell non-Ks, true?
I doubt TSX is going to matter in the next couple of years for the mainstream, but I'm interested in VT-d. (4771 vs 4770k)
Haswell is here, Haswell is here, Haswell is here!!! After talking for months about the Linux kernel and driver development for Intel's Ivy Bridge successor, the heatsink can be lifted today on talking about Intel's Haswell processor. For the past few weeks I have been running and benchmarking an Intel Core i7 4770K "Haswell" processor on Linux to mixed success.
I am about to upgrade to a new Haswell based system and I have read that some power supplies have trouble providing a stable current to Haswell CPU's when they go into a very low power mode. Does anybody know if I will be safe using my Silverstone SST-OP750 PSU with a 4770k, or should I look into a new power supply?

Looking to get a new laptop. Was pretty much set on the a MBP 15 Haswell 16GB, 512GB SSD.....until i realized it would cost me nearly 3k with applecare. Seems a little high, especially considering I couldn't care less about about MacOSX.
I run a company provided Windows VM, but I used CentOS desktop VM for most of my work.
