I need to know how I can create and deploy a local group policy with settings that exist in my domain GPO. I know local GPO only supports a subset of what domain GP does and I think that's where the problem exists.
Under YaST -> Local security I've configured password settings of:
Min password length: 8
Number of passwords to remember: 6
Min age: 1
Max age: 21
Days before password expire warning: 3
Given that - why haven't I been requested to reset my password for this account?

Hi, everyone!
I keep messing things up, being a newbie is pretty hard! :beat-up:
1º: I changed some settings in "local security", about file permits or something, and now I can't run Yast to fix it, not even see it. Neither can I add or remove any software. And the ugliest part is that I can't even shut down the pc. It pops up a shaking error message about authentication stuff.
Hello.
Here's a way to use a custom image from your Gallery on the lock screen if you like to just use swipe for security. From your home screen go to settings, security, lock screen change it to Pin and use an easy to remember number. Now when you go to settings, display, lock screen you can use the plain old Gallery to insert a custom image.
Is it possible to change Internet Explorer security settings using a .bat or .vbs file?
Basically, I need to change IE7 and IE8 security settings for the local intranet.
My staff accidentally applied a security database to one of my server. Instead of Analyze the Computer, he had accidentally clicked on Configure this Computer using the Security Configuration and Analysis snap-in in MMC.
For now, I'd like to revert back his changes.
I decided to set the security settings in my phone:
Settings > Location and Security > Remote functions.....
I don't remember ever setting this, but when I put my email address in, it said the account already exists. But evidently I've forgotten my password as I've tried twice with passwords I "thought" I may have used.
We are looking at rolling out Outlook 2010 in the near future. What recommendations, guides, settings, tools, etc. would you recommend to secure and harden the installation and usage of Outlook 2010? What works and what does not work?
