Hello to all you video buffs :)

I have a video dvd which I copied to my hard disk, i.e. I have the VIDEO_TS folder with the VOB files in it. I want to convert those VOB file segments of the main movie into one big, uncompressed *.MPEG file. I can open and append them in Avidemux, where I chose MPEG as the container format and 'copy' for both audio and video.

I have some video files with the mp4 format and I want to convert them to a mpeg format files

I try toconvert with:

$avconv -i 1.mp4 -fmp4 -target mpeg /mpeg/1.mpeg

but I get the following error

1.mp4: Invalid data found when processing input

what I m missing in my command?

Hi guys,

I have a couple of DVDs on my hard drive which I would like to convert. For examples I got some videos VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB and etc and I would like to convert those files to avi or mpeg does not matter for me just not to be in VOB format. Any program which could help me out? Thanks in advanced!

Thunar - Video Thumbnails 27 weeks 3 days ago

I have Thunar installed on my i3 desktop. I also have tumbler and ffmpegthumbnailer. Currently i can't get video thumbnails for .avi and .mkv files. Strangely thumbnails are generated for .mp4 files.
