Good afternoon;
I don't know much about sendmail, so this may be fairly easy for those of you more experienced with it. We have an account, "user@server.com", sending reports to various groups. From time to time an undeliverable message will be sent back to "user@server.com". We'd like for those undeliverable messages to be rerouted, or bounced, from "user@server.com" to a group of our choosing.
Hello,
I have a server with sendmail, and I'm sending messages on a huge corporate LAN. When I send a message from my server to my personal email, I don't see the FQDN.
Example:
user <user@my-host-name>
This wouldn't be an issue except Outlook is complaining that this may be a phishing attempt and blocks any links that appear in the email.
Hi guys,In my office we are running a mail server with horde. the server is running well but the sendmail server is sending unwanted mails to some unknown email address and get bounced ... [by ashrafy84]
i need help for sendmail configuration in our linux machine.
Here the things:
I want to send email to outside by using our exchange server as the mail relay.But when sending the email through the server,it will response "user unknown".To make it worse, it will bounce back all the sent message to my localhost.
I already tested our configuration by using external mail server such as gmail and yaho
One of our clients has been having problems where whenever an external email has multiple recipients on their domain, each recipients receives it a matching number of times (see below).
I am using sendmail in my DMZ and exchange 2007 for my internal mail server. This was configured before I started here and is not likely to change soon. The problem I inherited is this When a client goes to our web page and puts in contact info. 2 emails are sent. 1 internally to our sales dept. and 1 to the client with an attachment. The internal email is recieved fine.
I have a Postfix mail server running, and I'm trying to understand why emails sent to myself@example.com are actually sent to myself@some-server.example.com instead.
On the command line, I send a simple test email:
echo test | mail -s test myself@example.com
In maillog, I see:
Mar 20 23:40:57 some-server sendmail[29680]: r2L3euXm029680: from=root,
size=48, class=0, nrcpts=1,

I've been looking for a replacement mail server, I've been using a Communigate Pro server to send my mail, over time it's evolved and now not only sends my mail, but mail for several applications, it's sending about 750,000 - 1.5 Mill a week and was never setup to do this.
