Visit - www.htcdev.com and pick the Sensation that YOU have. Here's how you can find out which Sensation you have. Sensation 4G (T-Mobile) will have a 'customised' T-Mobile case saying 'T-Mobile' in the corner. Sensation - Vodafone - Will have come with 'branded' firm (HowTos)

I successfully completed the first stage (Unlocking Bootloader). I then tried stage 2 get S-Off.

tonight I tried to unlock my HBoot 1.27 Sensation with T-Mobile Germany branding.

I used the htcdev method successfully.

Sorry to be a noob but I'm completely new to the idea of installing custom ROMs so was wondering if someone wouldn't mind explaing what exactly is involved in installing a custom ROM (bruce2728's CM10 ROM) onto a completely stock HTC Sensation?

not sure about hboot.

I want to achieve Root and a custom recovery.

I'm looking to root the Sensation 4G by T-mobile but there isn't a thread labeled ROOT. What am I missing?

My hboot is 1.18.0000

I searched the entire "sensation android development" page for the word root and nothing came up. All other phones I've dealt with have a sticky that says something about root instructions.

Please someone point me in the right direction
