I am using Ubuntu 12.04 desktop. last week I pressed the update all. after update and relogin, only mouse can move. Nothing more can function. After that desktop 12.04 has been downloaded and installed again. after updating the important security update, the system crashed again. Can anyone help??!!
Lubuntu crashed. had 11.04 & updated it thru to 12.04 & 12.04.1. It worked well till 6 days back; Crashed after note said "libsum 2 needs updating". Tried to do update via ubuntu & crashed. Won't nurse back.
Won't login. says, "Checking battery,,," Then churns. Using Ubu 12.04 live, could use firefox and send email. But cannot access files made by Lubuntu.
I updated to 12.04 yesterday. While it was updating however it crashed.
I restarted my computer and update manager asked to perform a Partial upgrade. This is not the first time this happened so I said yes. However the partial update also failed.

I seem to be having issues updating. Through update manager things just seem to hang, and if I try sudo apt-get update I get errors like Err 403 Forbidden. I tried creating a sources list then replacing the old one, but upon running the keys as the website suggested this also failed.
I've found a faulty connection to my database caused my development WAMP server to crash, even though the software is in working order, but PHP crashed and took the server down. Is there any way to make WAMP server or Apache itself automatically restart on crash?
Is there any reason I wouldn't want to do this?

I am currently running Ubuntu 12.04 and I seem to be having problems updating and various other problems that my stem from the updating one (I'm not sure). So, I'm getting an error when I try to update, I use the Update Manager, get an error, so I go to the Terminal, update there, and get the same answer.
I have most of my apps set to automatically update but most do not. I can go to Google Play and see apps waiting to be updated or if I restart the phone some apps will update.
Is there something else I need to do?

The settings I have for google play:
- Auto update apps
- Only update when on wifi
- wifi sleep policy: always
And the questions:
1. Will it update completely automatically or do I need to assist? If automatically - is there some periodic attempts for doing so, or what triggers the update?
2. If I "update all" manually and phone sleeps - the downloadings stop. Why's that?
