The GNOME Foundation is excited to announce that GUADEC 2010 will be
held in The Hague, Netherlands July 24th-30th, 2010. The conference is
expected to draw more than 500 attendees to discuss and direct the
future of the GNOME Project. The Hague was one of several locations
proposed for GUADEC in 2010.
Today, the Foundation announced the locations of GUADEC 2013 and 2014:
It is with great pleasure that the GNOME Foundation announces that Brno,
Czech Republic has been selected as the venue for GUADEC 2013. Each year,
the GNOME User and Developer European Conference gathers GNOME community
members from all across the world.
The GNOME Foundation invites proposals to host GUADEC 2013. GUADEC is the biggest gathering of GNOME users and developers and includes a three-day conference, the annual general meeting of the members of the GNOME Foundation, and a week of coding, meeting, and discussion.
GUADEC 2010 was a great conference: we had lots of fun, and lots of productive discussions with the rest of the GNOME community.

The GNOME Foundation, through Fabiana Simões, announced at the beginning of this month that the upcoming 14th GUADEC Conference for GNOME developers will take place in Brno, Czech Republic between 1-8 August. Being sponsored by Google, Red Hat, Canonical, Collabora, and Igalia, this year's GUADEC Conference will start on August 1, and will end on August 8, 2013.
GUADEC is the biggest gathering of GNOME users and developers, which takes place in Europe every year. It includes conference days, the GNOME Foundation annual general meeting and hacking in a week of coding and discussion.
In the past, by this time, the Board would have already sent around the GUADEC call for hosts. In largely closed door meetings it would have been decided where next year's GUADEC would be held, announcing it at the current year's conference.
