Hello,
I am trying to compile gstreamer for my ARM board. but when i compile it i am getting the following error
Code:
checking for arm-linux-gnu-pkg-config... no
checking for pkg-config... /usr/bin/pkg-config
checking pkg-config is at least version 0.9.0... yes
checking for GST... no
I've just upgraded to 12.04. Now whenever I open totem or rhythmbox I get a general error about Gstreamer telling me to check my setup., like this:
Failed to create a GStreamer play object. Please check your GStreamer installation.
I've spent a while fiddling around with reinstalling packages and checking settings and stuff but I haven't been able to get rid of this error.
I've installed GStreamer plugins for Fedora 14 using yum. However, when running a qt-phonon application with the GStreamer backend, I get the error
"Warning: You do not seem to have the base GStreamer plugins installed.
All audio and video support has been disabled"
Is there a good baseline test to determine if this is a Phonon problem?
Hey everyone. I have recently upgraded to 12.04 and one of my favourite programs has become broken as a result (Minitube). After some digging around it appears that this is due to the new version of Gstreamer that is in the precise repos. For those that wish to replicate this bug quickly, it also happens in the youtube addon for Totem, as well as spitting out an error about missing codecs.
I'm trying to build rhythmbox from source to have a go at adding an extra feature.
