Hello. I have the following problem. While I can read any file on gedit I can save it(save buttons are disabled)! I get the following message:

I'm using Ubuntu 12.04.
I use Xfce-panel with it's task list plugin. When an aplication opens a dialog and a swith to another window, then I can't return to it.To reproduce it: open gedit, press CONTROL+F to open the "Find" dialog. Now switch to another aplication leaving the Find dialog opened in gedit.
I would like to configure gedit so that everytime I double click on a text file it will open on a new window instead of a new tab. How can this be done?
Something like,
gedit --new-window "file name"
, but with a double click
