Just a short Tutorial today. It’s surprising how many people do not know this. To change the hostname under Linux, open a terminal window. Type the following code. sudo nano /etc/hosts and change the text to your new hostname. Changes will take effect on Restart.

MyBroadband.co.za reports that more than 90% of the world's largest supercomputers now run Linux: "The biannual Top500 report on the world's biggest and best supercomputers has been released and shows that almost all of the top 500 now run Linux.

When news came that Microsoft recently released the LinuxIC code under GPL, I was suspecting something fishy. This wasn't typically Microsoft. How and why did they do it?

Generally, I use 01FTP for updating and changing the website, but to be honest that is rather slow and I much prefer having all my programs to do editing available.

Many critcis always blame Linux for the lack of games, although it's not entirely Linux's fault that it has few games. Not all game companies realise the potential of this widely used platform. But some like iD Software do.
