I have a Compaq presario CQ61 laptop with built-in graphics cards.
Is it possible to upgrade any components of the laptop, or is everything too compressed to upgrade.:p

I created a video of the issue that I am having with my Compaq Presario CQ61 laptop, and uploaded the video to youtube (so please view the video in the link below, if you want to see, and possibly help me with the issue that I am having with the laptop). Thanks.
My Laptop is making a lot of noise and is really hot. I assume its overheating due to an issue with the fan and I would like to try replacing the fan.
The laptop is an HP Compaq Presario CQ61 The manual http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01740724.pdf states there are two different Fan/Heat Sink Assemblies, one for use with UMA systems and one for use with discrete systems.
Hello. I have an older HP Elitebook 8540p that I might get from work. I was browsing for graphics card upgrades when I stumbled upon this answer.
Is it true that no other cards can be installed without BIOS locking them out (even with same TDP)?
Can the BIOS locks be bypassed or BIOS itself modded?
I'm asking because, this laptop will probably soon be obsolete and thrown away.
Hi. I'm trying to help my nephew by looking into whether or not it is worth upgrading the graphics card in his laptop. I'm not laptop-hardware savvy, so I'm hoping one of you will tell me if a card would benefit him (gamer, Diablo III, Minecraft, WoW, Starcraft II, etc.)
Here are the specs to his machine:
Toshiba Satellite Specs.

I have a 2009 HP desktop. It has a 320 GB hard drive and 2 GB RAM. Would it be worth it for me to upgrade the drive and RAM to an SSD and perhaps 8 GB (if my machine can handle it)? This upgrade using a small SSD might cost me $200+. I could buy an Acer C720 laptop with a 16 GB SSD and 2 GB RAM for $199. I could potentially connect a new laptop to my existing 23" monitor.
