GPS-app like glympse that do not needs g-maps

http://forum.xda-developers.com – Unfortunately all apps like glympse, runtastic, endomondo ...needs access to google maps that doesn´t work on my ROM. Therefore I am looking for an app like glympse that doesn´t need maps (like navigon does not need maps). The same problem with tasker that I cannot install either. Anybody an idea? (HowTos)

I try to run Google Maps with Intellij IDEA 12.

I already tried advices:

Embedding google maps android v2 in android Google Maps Android API v2 Authorization failure Unable instantiate android.gms.maps.MapFragment Google Maps Android API gives a NoClassDefFoundError

and so on.

On my Samsung Nexus, I am running version 4.1.1. When I go into Google Maps and at the top click on Search Maps, it has a history of all the places I have searched. How do I clear this list?

I have tried going Settings, Apps, Google Maps and Clear Data. Then went back to Google Maps and its still there.

I’m a huge fan of Glympse. It’s simply the best real-time location sharing app available. I use it all the time when traveling to visit family or when I’m running around in a million directions and need to let my wife know where I am.

Soon, we should all see better maps within some of the apps that we use. Today, Google launched an update to their Maps API that developers will use to incorporate Google Maps into their apps. This new API version will benefit both developers on the front-end as well as users on their end.

By now you must have heard about Apple’s severely flawed maps app. It was introduced last week with the release of iOS 6. What’s bugging many Apple fans is the fact that Google Maps is nowhere to be found as an alternative. Contrary to popular belief, Google never developed the Maps app for previous versions of iOS. Apple actually did with the API’s.

Yes, Apple Maps redirect to Google Maps on desktop, Android and any non-iOS 6 phones when you share your location. Womp.

Google Maps crashes on me when I use Google Navigation now. Maps is also acting funny even when not navigating. My phone is stock with basic apps and I have never had any issues like this with Android.

Please post up if your Google Navigation and Maps work as they did with ICS.

If nobody is having problems I am going to have Verizon replace my phone.

Glympse, the location-sharing app which first debuted back in 2009, is still hanging in there.
