Is there a way to get the gps on my vodafone smart 858 (Huawei U8160) working with some maps without a data plan ?
I know some other mobile phones can do this, I have a 4gb sd card in my phone.
First let me start this post by explaining my situation.....
I am on my parents AT&T family plan as a $10 add on dumb phone. Previously I have been using other networks (T-Mobile) smart phones to get around having to pay for a data plan. This has worked for the last several years but I have just now upgraded to a phone with a micro SIM (Nexus 5 if course).
Vodafone UK has come up with a new twist for potential buyers of smartphones on their network. Dubbed Vodafone Red Hot, users sign up for a pair of 12-month contracts. The first is for a typical data plan that includes unlimited voice and text and up to 2GB of data. The second contract is to “hire” the device you select.
I have a limited data plan now, Old phone was Nexus 1 and no problem
With data usage . Got a Nexus 4 and use about twice as much data. I see Google maps is using most of the data. I am going to update my data plan in few months to correct it.
T-Mobile said it was because it is a faster phone will all the latest updates
Launch of new mobile plan by Vodafone NZ with a huge differential between on-net and off-net calling rates has led the NZ Commerce Commission to reverse an earlier decision. It now says that mobile termination rates - the prices mobile operators charge other telcos for delivery of calls to their customers' phones - should be regulated.
Hello everyone. Lots of great informative info here. I am with AT@T and have an older Nokia non smart phone with a $10.00 per month unlimited data plan
which I roughly use around 350mb per month. I was considering getting a G I5500 unlocked phone and need to know if they will detect it and do you think they will alter my data plan? thanks in advance
I currently have the Huawei AT&T Fusion 2 phone, running on a $25.00 a month GoPhone plan. It has unlimited texting and 250 minutes of calling. No data, but I can use the smart technologies while on Wi-Fi. My dad will pay no more than $25 a month for a phone plan. He said that the HTC One now sold for $100 without a contract. I want to buy the phone and then connect it to a service.
I've been considering it for a while now. My wife and I are on a family plan with the in-laws on AT&T, so we only pay $100 for 2 lines on a 10 GB shared plan (5 lines on plan, but two use almost no data). I love the price, have no problem's with AT&T, but don't really like being on a plan with my inlaws.
