Like most other Android devices, the Note 10.1 has an "Auto Brightness" option. However, unlike most other Android devices (in my experience so-far), you can further tweak the brightness even when "Auto Brightness" is enabled, effectively adjusting the sensitivity of the auto-brightness mechanism.
Try it in a very dark room.
So this is random... I can adjust brightness levels from Power control widget/Extended Controls just fine.
I am getting 255 brightness when auto brightness is on in my phone (HTC desired hd (2.3.3))
my code
int value = Settings.System.getInt(c.getContentResolver(),
Settings.System.SCREEN_BRIGHTNESS);
How can I get brightness level when Auto brightness is on.
TRYED
I tried, before getting brightness, I am setting manual mode.
First time user of a Samsung phone.
Had the s-view cover on from day one and the auto brightness adjust worked great didn't even notice it switching between lighting.
Just recently I changed to a normal cover and noticed with my auto brightness ticked I get a 3-5 second lag on waking the phone..
Hi,
I have an auto-brightness issue, when I turn the auto mod on the screen turn all black. I can still heard clicking sounds and when I put the N7 under a strong light ( white leds ) it turn on. So it is definitely a brightness problem.
I can not for the life of me figure out why they would take the auto screen brightness option out of this phone. There is an app for older xperia phones that lets you turn it off, it doesn't work on our ion. I've tried a few other screen control apps but none could turn off the auto brightness. It wouldn't bother me so much, except the transition is so jumpy in certain lighting situations.
Anyone else having an issue with the camera app messing up the screen brightness setting?
I keep my display brightness on Auto. But everytime after using the camera, the Auto brightness checkbox becomes unchecked and the slider is mysteriously set to maximum.
I'm on 2.3.3.
Was just wondering if auto brightness actually eats up more battery than just having a set brightness.
When I make a variable and set it to $LIGHT it changes to "$LIGHT" instead of a number like i was expecting...it does this whether ambient light is bright or dim. I have tried with auto brightness both enabled and disabled, tho auto brightness turns on automatically wen i enable a profile using the 'variable set' task, even before it runs the task.
