I just installed Xubuntu 12.04.1 and updated and installed all my usual apps including gparted.
Running gparted from the menu and running from terminal with 'gksudo gparted' results in the same behavior with no output to the command line. All I get is the gparted program scanning all devices indefinitely.
I have let it run for over ten minutes with no change in behavior.
Something got my F 17 installation on my desktop mangled. I've decided to reinstall F 17 (Avoiding all of the issues I've read about with F 18's partitioning.) However, before doing that, I booted from a LiveCD and used Gparted to get rid of a small, redundant partition. Then, I folded it into /dev/sda3, AKA /home. Alas, the program hung.
GParted Live, a small bootable GNU/Linux distribution for x86 based computers that enables users to take advantage of all the features the latest versions of the GParted application have, is now at version 0.14.0.
GParted LiveCD 0.14.0 now comes with the ability to move, resize, check, create, and delete Physical Volumes under Logical Volume Management – LVM2 PV.
I try to install Gparted using ccrccr -S gpartedWhen compiling start send me this errorCould not find platform independent libraries <prefix>

Here's the situation. I was dual booting win7 and ubuntu 10.04. I only use windows for games and because of win7's overhead I figured some games would run smoother under xp so I installed xp over it.
Hey.
I have this old Eee 900, the one with one 4GB SSD soldered straight on the motherboard and one additional 16GB SSD via PCI Express Mini, which has been running Fedora 11 fine for about six months. Then I finally got the time to update to Fedora 12.
