Trying raring.
On lid-close MBP does not sleep.
But I found that briefly (1 second or less) touching magnetic lid switch area with a magnet causes it to sleep.
Lid switch is on LHS near [fn] key on edge where pin-holes end, above microphone port.
I use a small piece of a HDD magnet wrapped in tape to avoid scratching case.
[shift] wakes MBP.
Any ideas on what is going wrong here?
So, after cracking my digitizer a few wks ago- I decided to drop the 65 bucks to have my digitizer professionally replaced. This is the first time I've ever had one replaced. Last few days I've noticed things like random screen unresponsiveness and capacative buttons not working until phone is put to sleep and woke back up. Do these seem like side effects of this being a botched repair job?
I've been looking or a case similar to the iPad smart cover with magnetic closure and came across this one http://www.amazon.com/Navitech-Rotat...+magnetic+case
It says it has magnetic sleep/wake function, which I assume means that it just closes with a magnet as I'm sure they didn't put a magnet in like the diy smart ass covers.
Has anyone tried it?
Hey, just got me a Galaxy note 10.1 the other day and love it, but I have a slight issue.
Sleep mode.
Now I assumed it was a simple case of turning off the screen to put it in sleep mode, there doesnt seem to be an option for it when you hold down the power button.
But the issue is I am still getting push notifications even when I have it set to turn off wifi when it is in sleep mode.

When I close the "smart case" I have for my Nexus 7 tablet, it is supposed to go into sleep mode.due to the magnets in the case. For a few months, it was doing this fairly reliably, but this feature no longer seems to work, at least not reliably.
sleep is very popular command and we can start sleep from 1 second
# wait one second please
sleep 1
but what the alternative if I need to wait only 0.1 second or between 0.1 to 1 second ?
remark: on linux sleep 0.XXX works fine , but on solaris sleep 0.1 or sleep 0.01 - not illegal syntax
yael
I recently dropped my TF300 (in the process of jerry-rigging a carrying case for it, might I add) and it happened to shatter the glass and tear some of the ribbon for the digitizer, rendering it completely useless. The LCD beneath is fine, in fact I have already separated the LCD from the digitizer itself.
Hey guys, I just bought a separate case wallet case (NOT S COVER) with magnet so it does the auto sleep/wake function on my galaxy s4
I want to know if there is a way to turn off the S cover view home screen (i time and date for few seconds for S Covers).
Thanks!
