I rooted my phone back in the spring and tried a couple of ROMs and went back to the original stock version. Back then I used the Odin software. I recently decided to try ROMs again and saw on YouTube where people are using goomanager and it looked easier. Following the video, I downloaded goomanager from the play store.
I just completed S-off sucesfully and installed goomanger > selected install openrecovery script. It downloaded openrecovery-twrp-184.108.40.206-fireball.img. I am trying to learn how to install ROMS on this phone, because a friend of mine has an LG Optimus 3D and he would like to "make his phone better", and so I emidiatly tought "flash a ROM". But he doesnt know how to do it, but I have some experience because I have a Xperia X10 and I have flashed a lot of ROMs. So I know the basic, like wat is a Kernel, xRecovery, etc.
I'm trying to use GooManager to install twrp custom recovery onto my note 2 and I keep getting "server offline" or I will go to download twrp and it will tell me something like "md5 mismatch". Anyone have any ideas? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times as well as restarting my phone and even a factory reset.
