I have bought Nexus 4 and i have imported phone contacts from my older Phone. I don't have email id for many of the contacts,i have just their phone numbers alone. Now i want to sync them with their email. Is there any way to do this. And is there any way to sync them with their fb account. (To be clear my question is if i can sync them to their gmail or fb by just using their Number).
I was an iPhone user until about two months ago when I got my LG G3. Loving it! I have multiple Google accounts. I set them all up on the device but only set one to sync contacts. On my iPhone I had the same account sync to my phone using the CardDav protocol.
Device : Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo (SM-N750)
OS : Android Kit Kat 4.2.2
Number of google account in this device : 1.
What does I sync with that account : everything. Including contact.
I use google contact and sync it to my device.
I've had my nexus 5 for a while now and still haven't found a solution to the particular problem I am having, I want to keep all of my phone contacts local without syncing them to an account, now I've disabled Google Contacts Sync, which stops the phone syncing contacts to a google account, however when using any other account with the built in email application (either corporate, imap or POP3) it
Ok I purchased my Nexus 5 on the Google Play Store using my gamesite/youtube GMail / Google + account cause I wasn't really aware of how integrated GMail/Google+ actually is with android. I've started to get all these fun contacts and pictures and all that great stuff but what is actually showing up is related to a video game / youtube channel and not my actual name or picture.
I just got a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and when I go into my settings then add an account and add a gmail account, it gives me an option to choose what I want to sync. I unchecked 'photos' and 'contacts' and everything else except for 'gmail' but it still auto sync'ed my photos and contacts (and my apps and app data, even though I told it not to).
