Several improvements have been included that should be apparent once users get their hands on the update and start using the Play Store. Improvements include: Remove apps you have previously downloaded from the All Apps list, which will help in weeding out the list, especially if you are fond of downloading an app to try out and end up deleting it; Multi-select apps for deletion by long-pressing on an app title that you want to remove, then pressing on the additional app (IT news)

Google just started rolling out an updated Google Play Store version 3.9.16 that follows the previous version 3.8.17 from August.

Google continues to make improvements to the Google Play Store, slowly turning it into a one stop shop for software and entertainment selections for Android devices. To help move users into their “store” and away from competitors means implementing features that users expect to be available.

As part of Google’s improvements to the Google Play store during 2012, this past summer they announced the addition of magazines and TV shows. The announcement was made in conjunction with Google I/O and the Google Nexus 7 tablet release. Today Google released an update to the app making it available for users in Australia.

For those of you who are worried about the increasing concern of malware hidden in select apps that make it into the Google Play store, you can rest easier knowing that Google and Symantec are hard at work trying to spot the culprits. Symantec has recently identified 29 apps containing malware that ultimately targeted Japanese markets.

Google has rolling out an update to the Play Store since late last night, and even though it doesn’t have any drastic changes, the UI and recommendations have been polished up, which is a nice touch. The most notable difference is the post-install screen after installing an app; it’s a clean looking screen with  a button to quickly enable automatic updates.

Yes, it is that time again where Android fanatics can get their hands on the latest Play Store .apk file. Thanks to some tipsters over at Android Police, you can now download the latest Google Play Store version, build 3.9.16. And I have to admit this version packs some useful features.

Before the Android Market switched over to the Play Store the Market allowed you to see a list of your purchased apps under a “Not installed” section. After the transition to the Play Store, at some point along the update line, the list of paid apps went away. If you’re wanting the ability to see that list again, Paul O’Brien over at Modaco, has solved the problem.
