Google is now offering a “Free for print subscribers” option for certain magazines in the Play Store. If you subscribe to certain magazines that offer this, you’ll see a login screen asking for your email address and password to your magazine’s online account. Once you see it, go ahead and select “subscribe”, then you will see an option called “free for
Does anyone know where the Play Magazines app downloads purchased magazines to? I've looked around the filesystem on my tablet and can't find them anywhere.
I'm going away and taking only my netbook (not my tablet; not enough space, and I need a real OS), and it would be nice to be able to read them offline on it...
As part of Google’s improvements to the Google Play store during 2012, this past summer they announced the addition of magazines and TV shows. The announcement was made in conjunction with Google I/O and the Google Nexus 7 tablet release. Today Google released an update to the app making it available for users in Australia.
Google launched Google Play Magazines and TV shows in the US at Google I/O last week. Well, it looks like you folks across the pond won’t be getting access to these new services, or to Google Music, in time for the Nexus 7 launch. Currently, the UK has access to Apps, Books, and Movies.
Morning everyone!
My now fiancé bought me a 7" tab2 for our anniversary and so far love it. Only thing I couldn't find info on was reviews on reading books/magazine on this tablet. Do you guys have any opinions on the reading magazines through kindle or google play?
Thanks in advance
Just spotted a couple of system app's on JB, LSD, that I don't remember coming across before...
Google Play Magazines 1.2.0
Google Play Music 4.4.811H.526848
Since I have never had a Titanium Backup of them they must be fairly recent... last 36-48 hours.
I noticed that Google Play Magazine was syncing in BetterBatteryStats.
Anyone else got these?
I have an ASUS N61JV-X2 notebook PC with 8 GB of dual-channel DDR3 1,066 MHz SDRAM and an Intel 2nd Generation 2.5" MLC NAND FLASH X25-M 160 GB Solid State Drive running Red Hat Fedora 16 64 bit GNU/Linux. I have a few Zinio digital magazine subscriptions including Tone Audio, Stereophile, and Poets & Writers.
Just a small warning, avoid deleting Google Play Books (BooksTablet.apk), Google Play Magazines (Magazines.apk,) and especially Google Play Movies & TV (videos.apk).
Deleting these files will brick your device. Just a tip. ;)
