One of the things I was pumped about regarding the purchase of my Android tablet was the ability to read magazines on it. I’m a huge magazine guy. I just thought the convenience and “cool factor” of reading a magazine on a tablet sounded inviting. Turns out that I simply liked the idea of magazines on a tablet.
I was wondering when Google would eventually implement this. Recently, Google has enabled credit purchases for their Google Play Store within the Google Play web in itself.
Google launched Google Play Magazines and TV shows in the US at Google I/O last week. Well, it looks like you folks across the pond won’t be getting access to these new services, or to Google Music, in time for the Nexus 7 launch. Currently, the UK has access to Apps, Books, and Movies.
Google Play announced today that they will be implementing a new feature for Verizon Wireless customers. Verizon users will be able to select “Bill my Verizon Wireless account” when making purchases in Google Play to have the charges show up on their phone bill.
Google’s Play Store just keeps getting better. The latest addition is a “Recommended for You” section for each area of the Play Store. For example, when you tap on the Apps section, you will see a banner that says “Recommended for You.” Just tap on it, and you will get see a list of recommended apps. The same goes for Music, Magazines, Books, and Movies & TV.
