http://techcrunch.com – Google just announced that it is updating the design of the Google News reading experience on tablets, including the Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and iPad. The new design, says Google, will make the service feel “even more natural and fluid on tablet devices.” Specifically, Google News product manager Mayuresh Saoji writes in today’s announcement that the new design adds “more breathing room between articles, making it easier to spot the stories you really care about.” The service, which according to Google drives over 6 billion pageviews per month to the news sites it links (IT news)

Google just announced an update to Google News’ search results pages that makes some changes to the popular news site’s layout. Most importantly, Google News search now features click-to-expand news results clusters.

According to a new report from The Next Web today, Google is readying a number of new devices for announcement at the event it recently announced for October 29, including new Nexus tablet hardware and Android 4.2 features.

What happens if Google boycotts an entire country’s news content? We might get to witness such a trade war if Google excludes French news from its search results because of a proposed law that requires search engines to pay for displaying snippets of content.

Google TV has always been shunned a little more than other Google products, despite running Android. Well, if you were an early adopter of Google TV, there’s good news. Earlier today, we noticed that Google was showing an increasing number of its users a new search results page with more whitespace and without a sidebar.

I’m not sure we really need any more confirmation that the Google Nexus Tablet is going to be announced either today or tomorrow at Google I/O, but in case you’re still skeptical, Google has the Nexus banner on the third floor of  the Moscone Center. Nobody was allowed up there yesterday, but we snagged a shot.
