When you visit a review on Google Play for an app, book, song or movie, you won’t have to worry as much about whether someone is sheepishly hiding behind a computer firing off nasty words, as Google has now flipped on the switch to display your Google+ name and profile picture with all reviews you add to the store.
I’m not so sure this is the best thing in the world, 100%, as you don&#
One of the great things to come from the world of apps is user reviews. Sure, users have been able to review products forever, but with apps, it has become one of the main methods by which the merits of an app are judged. And now, user reviews on Google Play are getting a little more personal with a new update from Google.
As some of you may have noticed, the Play Store received an update over the weekend. And yet, we’re still waiting for the Google of the mobile app era to come in and save us from the mess that is today’s app market.
If you’re a developer, you know how important it is to get your app out there to as many people as possible. Well, Google wants to help you. They’ve created a webpage that allows you to enter your app name/URL and they’ll create a “badge” for you to put on your website (or any other website for that matter).
Google’s been awfully busy these past few weeks, but it seems that between sunsetting Reader (and pissing off most of the Internet in the process) and rolling out new services like Google Keep, the company has been working on a redesigned version of the Google Play Store for Android. That’s what the folks at Droid-Life claim, anyway.
