Where i live(AU) pc hardware is quite a bit more coin compared to other locales. i built a new machine around a 780 GTX. Paid a dear price for the 780 and truly wanted the TITAN. seeing the new amd 290X release hit me with buyers regrets. Super card as fast or faster than TITAN and a goooooood round cheaper.
Both Asus and Google have announced a price protection program for those that bought a Nexus 7 within a specific time frame, before the price drop. First up is Asus. They’re offering UK customers that bought the 16GB Nexus 7 directly from either Google or Asus a ₤25 refund for those who bought one before October 29th.
Microsoft has cut the price of its Surface 2 tablet hybrid by $100, leaving the consumer-facing device with a price tag as low as $349. That price, however, doesn’t include a keyboard attachment that is generally viewed as mandatory to use any Surface tablet. Other Surface 2 models, including the LTE-powered, higher-storage SKU have also received price reductions.
With HP’s TouchPad tablet enjoying price cuts from HP’s online site, Staples.com and Woot.com over the last few days, and some even claiming to have combined discounts, has the long anticipated tablet price war now started?
With Google’s The Playground is Open event only days away, we have already seen the Google Play Store “de-list” the 8GB version of the Google Nexus 7 tablet. A 32GB Nexus 7 device is in the works along with a 3G-enabled variant, which apparently has prompted some retailers in the UK to guess these devices will be announced next Monday.
After Google's drastic price cuts for its cloud computing services, Amazon quickly matched them. Given that Microsoft always promised to match prices, it doesn't come as a surprise that the company today announced its own round of massive price cuts.
We have heard rumors that October 15th could be the day we finally get to officially see the HTC-made Nexus 9, and we just got further confirmation, and a bonus….the price. BSN is reporting that Google will introduce the Nexus 9 on October 15, but unfortunately it won’t be available until November 3rd for $399
That is contrary to what we have seen in recent years.
Seems, that all the shops in Europe are selling the 780/Ti with large price cuts. Prices just dropped like 100 euro... Nice to see 970/980 series having that effect on the older cards, and if someone wants to build SLI, or upgrade SLI to Tri-SLI, it's a good moment. .
