Help! The stock camera app stopped working after I used video recording mode and switched to front camera. The camera could still be accessed using third-party camera apps such as Cymera but I like the stock camera app more.
Okay so I've searched all over Google and asked around threads but could not get an answer. So I'm hoping someone can come in here and help me this. I recently switched from the ATT MIUI ROM to the new 4.2.2 ROM and the one thing I noticed about the camera was that it wasn't as good as the MIUI camera. Specifically the video recorder. CM records in DVD and the MIUI recorded in HD+.
The Camera is kick me back every time
So i searched a Bit in Google and found this https://rapidshare.com/files/3100105498/Camera.apk
Its working better than the stock cm9 Camera
Just remove cm9 Camera or back up
And replace it with Miui Camera
Set permissions to
Except the shutter Sound when you take a Photo

I own both a O2x and a galaxy r (both tegra 2).
Yesterday i installed the lg camera from playstore om my galaxy R and noticed that i could refocus during video capture by touching the screen. I installed the app on my 2x but it didnt work.
I flashed the Revolt JB 2.7 ROM with the dorimanx kernel. The front facing camera and video recording works flawlessly, however the back (regular) camera only takes pictures. The video recording on that side won't record when I press the red button.
Is there something I could do to remedy this or is it a bug in the ROM that I should report?
Okay so next issue. I took a video earlier today in daylight and it works fine. No I tried to take a video while it's little bit darker and video camera freezes up.... any suggestions? I already tried to empty the camera cache. Did not work.
I'm trying to use the camera for video processing that needs a high constant frame rate around 30 FPS.
I'm using the Camera class and setPreviewCallbackWithBuffer to receive the video frames. I have noticed that most camera does not support a FPS range of 30000 - 30000. However, when recording movies I assume the camera on those devices still delivers a frame rate around 30.
