I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 and I'm having problems with global menu on Firefox 16. As you can see on this screenshot:
I have two titles, one for currently active window and one for firefox window, this is not the case with other apps. My global menu addon is activated, but when I deactivate it I have the same results.
I have working Ubuntu 10.4 and installed 12.4 on a different PC. I try Unity. In 10.4 it was comfortable to have Firefox icon on the system try and I tried to put it on that of 12.4. Using Alltray and gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Panel systray-whitelist I could put there Skype, but filed with Firefox.
OS Edubuntu 12.04.3 new install , gnome not unity
How do I put firefox and thunderbird icons ot the desktop or apps menu bar? Currently I have to get them via app /internet etc each time. In 8.04 firefox was on the apps menu bar by default.
I've a problem with running an xfce session on a desktop computer. All window decorations are gone, in the settings manager I can't change the settings of the window manager (clicking on window manager gives me an empty screen, with just the return, help and close buttons). In firefox the menu's are unusable.
I have found many posts giving direction/information on how to change the mode of operation for the top menu bar working like a MAC on the unity display,.. so that menu options are brought within each window app.
This however does not address my question, which is how to I hide,.. or bring front the mythtv window,.. so that the menu bar is not visible on the myth display,..
