The upcoming GNOME 3.8 desktop environment will allow users to easily connect to their ownCloud and Flickr accounts, via the GNOME Online Accounts app. GNOME Online Accounts 3.7.1 was released a couple of weeks ago, but no one noticed that it implemented the OAuth 2.0 authentication protocol for Google, and support for the ownCloud and Flickr services.

The GNOME 3.8 desktop environment has been officially released on March 27, 2013, and it brought lots of nice features. Among them, we can mention Python 3 porting, a port of GNOME Shell to use XI2, and much more. One of the unknown features of GNOME 3.8 is the ability to easily connect to ownCloud accounts via the GNOME Online Accounts application found in the Settings panel.

why do i have Online Accounts twice?
even thou i have no chat client installed and i have perform this command several times:
sudo apt-get remove gnome-online-accounts*
sudo apt-get purge gnome-online-accounts*
sudo apt-get autoremove
sudo apt-get autoclean
